Proofreading

I'm really anal about spelling, grammar and how things are written.  In fact, as people with whom I work will attest, I pretty much get off on it.

As such, I'm more than happy to proofread anything at all (documentation, projects, technical stuff, emails, dissertations and lots more) if you need someone to look over it.

I worked - in a very technical role - in IT for 20 years so have a grounding in technical documentation and how to make very boring things at least a little bit more interesting in what is a very dry area and am very comfortable with technical jargon and 'how things work'.

I have a Masters in Mathematics and had to do theoretical physics for my final year project ('Negative Energy Density in Quantum Field Theory') so I can understand how mathematicans think and talk.  So, I am happy proofreading academic stuff.

And I am a dad of two, so can understand all that nonsense that babies and kids spout, if that's the area that needs talking.  Yes, I know all the CBeebies theme tunes and have nightmares over the rubbish that tween family vloggers inflict upon normal people with little thought over their content...
